Weather and Climate
Bulgaria has a continental climate that is characterized by warm summers and cool winters. Summers in the mountain regions the temperatures are usually 30 Cº (80 Fº). The humidity is low, so even higher temperatures are not unpleasant. Chances for short thunderstorms and rain are greater during the spring and fall season. The smell of the rain, the beauty of the rainbow and the refreshed colors of the landscape, would be another unforgettable memory for those who experienced it.
Winter lasts from November to the end of February. Days are mild, dry, clear and sunny with some snowfall. Snow never stays long though. Daytime temperatures are generally around 5 degrees C. Spring lasts until the end of April with balmy temperatures up to 25 degrees Celsius. Summers are hot, approximately 28-34 degrees Celsius. There is no 'best' time to come visit because each season brings its own particular charm.
